Insurance:

Ed Weinstein. Over the past 20 years, Ed has developed and executed more than 400 studies in Financial Services for clients around the world. Ed has run several syndicated insurance studies including Independent Distribution and Small Business studies. Ed also developed the test blueprint for the OSC’s Financial Planner exam. Ed has conducted international projects on behalf of Fidelity, Allstate, Citigroup, ABN-Amro, IOSCO, BNP Paribas, UBS and many others. His domestic clients in Canada have included most major life insurers and banks, as well as the OSC, CSI and the Department of Finance. His practice focuses on identifying emerging trends and opportunities in financial services. Ed holds a PhD in Measurement & Evaluation (Applied Statistics) and is also a licensed Industrial Psychologist.

Denis Taylor. Denis brings over 30 years experience in the financial services industry to his work at The Brondesbury Group. In his career working in the life insurance industry, Denis focused on the marketing of group benefits, including life, health and retirement products. In recent years, Denis has worked on a wide variety of projects in financial services focusing on product development. He has authored courses for training professionals on group products and has worked with a major bank to market life insurance products for businesses.

Brian Woolsey.
Brian has been a senior interviewer for several years, after a career in the federal government. He has interviewed benefits consultants for a syndicated study of capital accumulation plans, as well as for various proprietary studies like our recent broker and consumer studies for the OSC Investor Education Fund. Brian has been licensed for both life insurance and mutual fund sales in Ontario.

Lori Bottrell.
Lori is a research consultant with a specialization on focus groups and analysis of qualitative data, such as verbatim responses from interviews. Specially trained in the use of N6 software for qualitative analysis, she provides unique insights into our interview findings. In addition, Lori often interviews senior level respondents and plays an active role in data management and preliminary data analysis. Over the last four years, Lori has participated in well over 30 projects including several studies for the insurance industry.
